Effect of Hull Obliquity on Crew Protection, Mass and Space Occupancy of Light Armoured Vehicle

Apart from strengthening crew protective capability gunfire, the hull obliquity in a light armoured vehicle (LAV) affects its weight and comfortable occupancy. Thus, it requires critical design analysis for obliqued hull. The study aims to present optimal of an structure ensure occupancy along with minimum attainable higher protection gunfire. Three geometric models (G1, G2, G3) were investigated LAV hull’s design. analytical approach was used investigate obliquity’s effect, results validated using experimental data reported by other researchers. Digital human modelling adopted validating space adequacy It observed that capabilities horizontal strike armour piercing rounds/bullets improved almost half double G2 G3, respectively, when compared G1. are also good agreement globally accepted at reasonable variations. highest targeted users can be achieved G3 without affecting mobility LAV.
